Delete your Sprig account & data
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Sprig account (app and website at sprigmap.com, by SprigMap) and all associated data.
Delete from your account (fastest)
- Open Sprig and sign in.
- Go to Account settings.
- Under Account, open “Delete my account” and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. You can export your data first if you’d like a copy.
Request deletion by email
If you can’t sign in, email Jonathan@sprigmap.com from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We verify ownership of that email, then delete the account and confirm by reply, normally within 30 days.
What is deleted
Everything tied to your account is permanently removed:
- Your name and email from your Google or Apple sign-in.
- Your saved places, food profile and values, private notes, and follows.
- Your session and sign-in records.
- Any place claims, lists, events, and share links you created.
What is kept, and why
- Community attribute data stays, but is de-identified. Sprig’s value is a shared map of food facts. When you delete your account, the food attributes you confirmed remain as part of the community’s aggregate counts, but they are unlinked from you — your identity is removed from those records, so nothing remains attributable to you.
- Minimal security/abuse logs may be retained in de-identified form only as required to protect the service, then expire on their normal schedule.
No personal data that identifies you is retained after deletion.
