Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Sprig is a community-maintained map of food-sourcing and dietary attributes. This policy explains what we collect and how it’s used.
What we collect
- Account: your name and email address from your Google or Apple sign-in.
- Your activity: places you tag or save, attribute votes, food profiles, follows, and private notes you write.
- Technical: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and standard server logs.
How your data is shared
- Your name is visible to other users (e.g. in follow lists and people search).
- Your saved places are private by default and visible only to people who follow you.
- Your notes are private to you. No one else can read them, not even people who follow you.
- Attribute tags/votes contribute to aggregate community data shown on the map; they are not attributed to you publicly.
- Your email is never shown to other users.
Third-party services
We use Google Maps & Places and Mapbox to render the map and look up place details, and Google/Apple for sign-in. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can export or permanently delete your account and all associated data from Account settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Full instructions, including how to request deletion by email, are on the account deletion page.
